On 7 April, the new EDHEC Business School Executive Campus opened its doors in London for the first time to Edhec alumni in the United Kingdom.
All the generations of alumni were present to admire the new premises and the exceptional panorama that can be seen from this magnificent building located in the heart of the business district.
Bernard Fournier, Chairman of EDHEC Board of Governors, and Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School, presented EDHEC’s international development strategy, reflected in the new Campus.
“Our ambition is being consolidated by the opening of new campuses in all the main finance capitals worldwide, and which provide a close fit with the needs of business in executive education and research ,” Olivier Oger explained, before turning to the alumni to add, “This is your home.”
The ceremony also marked the opening of the EDHEC-Risk Institute-Europe centre, the first finance research centre in Europe, presented by Noël Amenc, Director of EDHEC-Risk Institute.
Christelle Caucheteux, Vice-president of Edhec Alumni, closed the speeches by thanking all the volunteers who help coordinate the Edhec Alumni network abroad, and all the donors whose generosity enabled us to open this campus.
From 2011, the new campus, located at 10 Fleet Place - Ludgate will house:
• EDHEC Risk Institute Europe, an extension to the EDHEC Risk Institute research centre based in Nice, which will develop new research programmes.
• Executive education: training seminars designed for the European finance industry and organised in partnership with the CFA Institute. In this regard, EDHEC has been organising the biggest European conference on alternative investment management (EDHEC Alternative Investment Days) in London since 2004.
• A PhD in Finance (Executive or residential track)
• An MSc in Risk and Investment Management that includes professionals and students looking for a Finance specialisation in close liaison with the London finance industry (part-time sandwich programme)
The opening comes in the wake of the inauguration of the Singapore campus on 21 January 2011.
We would like to thank all our ambassadors and the many alumni who attended the event. We hope that our new premises will provide you with the support that you need to stay in touch with your network and to promote EDHEC to your immediate network and beyond.
