A year ago, the EDHEC Alumni ‘Impact for the Planet’ Prize was awarded to Etienne Martin (EDHEC Master 2018) and Clara Dormart (EDHEC Master 2019) for their ambitious project: ‘Nouvelles Cartes’. Aboard a sailing boat, their mission was to travel the French coastline to document, through a documentary series, the effects of climate change on our coastline and the need to adapt this vital territory.

Thanks to the support of EDHEC Alumni, funding of 10,000 euros and dedicated coaching, Vent Debout, the association founded by Etienne and Clara, was able to bring this adventure to fruition. But where does their project stand today? What lessons have they learned from this expedition? Have they succeeded in raising public awareness as they had hoped?

On 13 March, on the Paris campus and online, the prize-winners will look back on a year rich in challenges and discoveries at a special conference. This will be an opportunity to talk to them about their journey, their impact and the next steps in their commitment.

Whether you're simply curious, already involved, or looking for inspiration for a future impact project, this conference is a unique opportunity to learn, question and get involved.

In the meantime, take a look at their adventure in this immersive video:

Etienne and Clara's journey is a powerful illustration of how it is possible to take action, inform people and raise awareness of environmental challenges in a practical way. Thanks to Nouvelles Cartes, their commitment has taken on a new dimension, transforming an idea into concrete, visible action.

‘This adventure has shown us that reporting on the transformations of our coastline is much more than a simple report. It was about meeting the people who are taking action, showing solutions and inspiring people to take action.’

📅 On 13 March, come and find out live what they have to say and discuss with them how we can all contribute, at our own level, to the ecological transition.
