Dominique Cerutti, CEO and Global Head of Technology of NYSE Euronext that operates the world’s largest liquid exchange group, is the new patron of the EDHEC Financial Economics Track taught in Nice.

The mentoring ceremony took place on 17 January and attracted over 500 EDHEC students. Mr Cerutti held a presentation on the Challenges of the Modern Financial Markets in a Post Crisis World and considered the current stakes of the markets such as fighting against opacity and fragmentation and protection of investors.

The roundtable that followed the presentation, organised by two EDHEC student's societies, Transac & Agora, was focused on Mr. Cerutti background, his current position and his views on the present financial market situation.

The Q&A session with the audience that closed the conference addressed specific questions regarding the future of labour market in the financial sector. Dominique Cerutti stressed that future graduates will need to show more integrity and preserve the financial system rather than concentrating on individual gains. Regulation issues have also been addressed during the session.
