WHAT A STRESSFUL "B" WORD... 

However, since Brexit and more effectively since 2021, things are a bit harder for European nationals. There is no longer freedom of movement between the UK and European Union member states. Under this new system, all non-UK residents, whether they are nationals of an EU or non-EU country, are subject to the same requirement: Applying for a UK visa to come to the UK to live and work.

SOME EXCEPTIONS

• You have the UK nationality: Lucky you! However, be mindful that you cannot apply for a VIE in the UK. Sometimes we cannot have it all…
• You have the 

  pre-settled/

  settled status: Because you lived in the UK before 

  31 December 2020, you are allowed to work in the UK so make the most of it! 

• You have a double degree from a university in the UK (LSE, Imperial…): You can apply for a Graduate VISA which will allow you to stay in the UK for at least 2 years.

• An internship: You will need the Temporary Work – Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) visa.  
• A permanent job: You will need the Skilled Worker visa.
  
  

EDHEC PARTNER FOR INTERNSHIP SPONSORSHIP: BUNAC 

If your target employer cannot sponsor you for an internship, EDHEC has a solution via a partner called BUNAC. It will allow you to get a certificate of sponsorship and apply for the needed GAE VISA online via UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration).

Please check all the BUNAC eligibility requirements in the PDF documents. BUNAC does not sponsor any type of internship.
