EDHEC's Executive MBA candidates just returned from a business trip to Shanghai within the framework of the Global Business Module in their MBA programme.
During their week in Shanghai, the MBA students were received by several companies such as L'Oréal, Auchan, l'Institut Pasteur, Areva, Snecma, Messier Dowty and Microport, and particpated in conferences and round tables on topics such as the profession of Human Resources in China, Chinese consumers, appropriate management styles and more general on how to succeed in doing business in China. To round off the course, the MBA's will have to write a Global Business Report that should allow the reader to anticipate movements derived by emerging markets and to identify alternative international management models.
This much-appreciated course is a highlight of both EDHEC's full-time and part-time MBA programmes and sets them apart from more conventional MBA programmes. The Executive MBA combines 3 such week-long sessions in different international business hubs with regular on-campus sessions on the weekends, allowing its participants to combine their busy careers with obtaining their MBA degree. The following Global Business seminar will take place in June in Toronto and Montreal, where the students will delve into international business specifics once again.
