Lean on your EDHEC Alumni digital network

The EDHEC Alumni community, made up of more than 46,000 students and graduates worldwide, is a powerful driver of solidarity, especially during this difficult period we are living through. The network reflex is now something that should be part of your daily life, whether to give or receive.

There are many ways to get in touch with your EDHEC peers. The structure of our clubs, depending on your business sector (professional clubs), location (local & international clubs), EDHEC degree programme (programme clubs) or areas of interest (sports & leisure clubs), gives you the choice to share your experiences or reach out to members for help. Each of these clubs is managed by one or more ambassadors who are on hand to listen and offer advice and support.

Social media contributes to this dynamic: you can join the LinkedIn and Facebook groups of the clubs with which you feel personal affinity. The general LinkedIn (“EDHEC Alumni Official Group”) and Facebook (“EDHEC Alumni”) groups offer a condensed snapshot of all that our network has to offer its members and society generally. The coronavirus health crisis for example encourages us to share Alumni initiatives to support healthcare workers, testimonials and analyses by Alumni of the changes we have seen in a little over a month, and even job offers in sectors that are recruiting. We have created the hashtag #EDHECalumniCare, to which you can add the words “for Business, “for Career” or “for People” depending on the type of information.

Collective mutual aid is written into the DNA of the EDHEC community: these dynamic digital spaces are entirely dedicated to you. Any contribution you can make is of great value. The power to follow or contribute to the latest news in the official LinkedIn group is in your hands.

Let’s set objectives for ourselves: what if we could get 15,000 people to be part of the LinkedIn group before the end of the lockdown? Over to you to mobilise your classmates and association. Let’s keep the EDHEC network dynamic!

Here’s the procedure to invite EDHEC contacts to the official LinkedIn group:

(preliminary stages if you’re not yet a member of the LinkedIn group)

  1. Send an invitation for a professional connection to the EDHEC ALUMNI profile
  2. Once the EDHEC ALUMNI profile has been added to your contacts, head to EDHEC Alumni Official Group
  3. Click on “Request to join” to become part of the group. You will be informed once your membership has been approved

  1. On the EDHEC Alumni Official Group page, click on “Invite connections” in the top right corner

  2. Under the search bar, click on the “Schools” tab and then on “EDHEC Business School” (if it appears) or enter “EDHEC Business School” directly to make it appear

  3. All of your Alumni contacts (students and graduates) will be displayed. You can then see whether they are already members of the LinkedIn group or if they have been invited by yourself or someone else. The connections you can invite are those who have a box to tick to the left of their name. There is no limit to the number of invitations!
