Amazon, Capgemini Consulting, Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Uniqlo, PwC, Société Générale or Whirlpool were among the 110 companies that participated to the EDHEC Job Forum, the largest recruiting event of EDHEC students.
Over 1 400 EDHEC students gathered early January in Paris for the 2014 EDHEC Job Forum, the not-to-be-missed event that offers a unique opportunity to clinch an internship or a first job. Organised by the EDHEC Career Centre, the forum is the perfect place for networking and job and internship hunting.
Every year, students have the opportunity to meet with the representatives of French and international companies from a wide array of sectors and industries, to discuss current job and internship opportunities, and to learn more about the companies’ activities.
Several new features were introduced for the 2014 Forum. Ahead of the event, the EDHEC Career Centre organised workshops to help students perfect their personal pitch (a short introduction of themselves, their achievements and background). The Career Centre also implemented the Global Plaza, dedicated to international students in their search for a position.
The Career Centre’s booth assisted and gave students last minute tips and advice for professional encounters. Last but not least, the Career Centre provided access to the Seekube, an online platform informing students of job or internship vacancies in real time.
Participating companies included Accenture, Air Liquide, Atos, Axa, Cargill, Deloitte, EY, Groupon, Mazars, Natixis, Nielsen, Pepsico France, Philips, and Procter & Gamble, among others. Read the full list of participating companies here.
"Companies come to the EDHEC Job Forum because they want to recruit us! With a wide range of opportunities such as graduate programme, V.I.E, internships and full time positions. For example I went to Carrefour’s booth because I wanted to know more information about the graduate program they offer. But the recruiter directly asked my CV, and after a nice talk she said my profile fits the kind of candidate they are looking for. Three days later, I received a call from Carrefour head of recruitment in order to organise a first interview. They called me, even before I had the time to apply online! Better than any of my dream!" Alexandre Chaumien (France)—MSc Global Business Student
"The EDHEC Job Forum 2014 was really useful in getting first contacts with representatives and HR managers of companies I am really interested in. Thanks to the forum, I was able to learn more about companies, their values, their working environment and their job opportunities. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow students and graduates and develop your professional network. These are the reasons why I consider the EDHEC Job Forum, an event not-to-be-missed!"
