Now she’s decided to take another initiative and ease some of the hardship facing children in Cambodia who will receive the profits from a new specific product range. Read on to find out more!

WHAT’S NEW AT L’ATELIER DE SOLÈNE?

For a few months now we have been writing a new chapter at L’Atelier de Solène. Realising that you’re lucky enough to see your dream become a reality can also make you aware that others aren’t quite so lucky.

Bringing a little happiness and generating decent living conditions for every child is a cause I am particularly sensitive to and one I have always wanted to contribute to one way or another.

As the reputation of L’Atelier de Solène flourished, I immediately felt the time was right to make the most of it. We had the chance to offer children something, and to do so quickly!

WHAT DID YOU DECIDE ON?

The hardest part was choosing an association. When I watched the film Les Pépites, it became clear to me that the association Pour un Sourire d’Enfant France was the obvious choice. I found their story overwhelming.

Seeing hundreds of children barely two or three years old looking for food or products to sell in a landfill seemed unreal to me.

PSE transforms the daily nightmare facing many children in Cambodia into a life with less hardship and every year takes more than 6,500 children out of a life of misery.

Six main programmes have been developed: food, care, protection, education, professional training and assistance for families.

WHAT’S YOUR CONTRIBUTION?

The very next day I decided to produce an entire collection, made with my very own hands to maximize profits. It is made up of liberty bracelets for little girls and their mums (around 100 items have already been made, and my apartment has been transformed into a veritable workshop).

The little charms are 3-micron gold-plated to ensure they can resist even the unbridled energy levels of children, and of their mums, and the sizes can be adjusted with a sliding knot to suit every individual!

HOW CAN CUSTOMERS CONTRIBUTE?

All the profits go to our beneficiaries. Each 23 bracelet offers a child two months of daily meals.

You can see the Pour Un Sourire d’Enfant collection on our website: www.latelierdesolene.fr

The whole team is a bit emotional as we prepare for the launch, and we really hope that the results will be worthy of all our volunteers’ hard work for these children.

My heartfelt thanks for your help and support and my immense gratitude goes to EDHEC for being so responsive in helping us to promote these wonderful projects.
