GFI Group Formed in 1987, GFI provides competitive inter-dealer brokerage services in more than 90 global cash and derivatives markets, including credit derivatives and fixed income, foreign exchange and financial derivatives, equity, energy and commodities. GFI has been a key player in developing a number of new markets including, credit derivatives, freight, weather, emissions and is also assisting clients in executing new hybrid market products such as equity default swaps and hybrid energy products.

Description The six month training programme covers all our major divisions. Employed as a trainee broker you will spend the first four months in all four of our main trading markets areas: Commodities, Foreign Exchange, Equities, and Credit. You may then spend time in our Data & Analytics or Ecommerce divisions, where you will be involved in a number of different roles including, development & support of online trading systems, real time data analysis and market research. Finally, it is likely that you may also spend a month in one of our other offices around the world, allowing you to experience our business outside of the UK. The training programme allows you to develop the necessary skills to offer good quality service to our clients and the markets in which GFI serves. At the end of the programme we offer you the chance to choose the area best suited to your abilites and interests. Specification: We are looking for computer literate graduates with a 2:1 or above in any discipline. You must be an enthusiastic, numerate graduate with excellent networking & interpersonal skills. You must be a sharp, articulate, self-assured individual, a proven team-player who is keen for early responsibility & thrives on working under pressure.
