A career in Finance will bring students face to face with one of the most competitive selection processes in the business world. The Finance Career Days I & II are designed for students to learn all there is to know about international graduate recruitment in Investment Banking and Finance; hone their application and interviewing skills; and network with alumni and experts.
In these 2 days, the topics covered were :
- Careers in Finance and in Consulting
- Understanding job market in finance
- The application process and documents : CV, CL and Application Forms session
Workshops have initiated students into the recruitment process and the importance of networking. They have been prepared to Competency-based interviews, Case Presentations and Group Exercises, Online Tests. They have learn more about how to approach Alumni and become a great networker.
Friday afternoon, students were invited to attend the Alumni Spotlights. They got a first-hand advice from EDHEC alumni about what they do, how they got there, and what the trends are like in different finance areas. 3 round tables were organized :
- Corporate Banking
- Asset Management
- Corporate Finance.
Wissam Farah (GE 1996) joined us for the closing session “Defying Gravity”.
Stefan Brun (Msc corporate finance 2011), analyst at Société Générale, Fabien Colussi (GE 2004), Equity Research at Fidelity Worldwide Investment and Anatoly Gorlov (Msc in Finance 2011), Analyst at J.P. Morgan, came from London to share their experience with students.
Samuel Knossow, vice-president at Lazard Frères, came from Paris.
