EDHEC Rendez-Vous: a reunion for the entire EDHEC community!
On Thursday June 8, the EDHEC community's flagship event brought together over 700 alumni at the world's largest startup incubator: Station F, in Paris.
It was a festive, friendly and inspiring evening, giving alumni the chance to catch up with their classmates and network with other EDHECs in an exceptional setting. The atmosphere was just right, to the delight of graduates from all EDHEC Business School programs!
During the event, which focused on the theme of responsible innovation, alumni were able to choose the evening's program, which included speeches by EDHEC alumni involved in societal or environmental issues, the first edition of Demo Day: a pitch competition for 6 entrepreneurs incubated by EDHEC Entrepreneurs, as well as visits to various stands and an exhibition illustrating the event's theme.
Last but not least, Emmanuel Métais gave a keynote speech at the event, updating the audience on the latest news from the school and its future ambitions.
On the occasion of the EDHEC Rendez-Vous, 3 prizes were awarded to alumni whose approach and career path are aligned with EDHEC's vision and values: audacity, positive impact and commitment.
🏆 The EDHEC Alumni of the year award went to Christian Raisson (EDHEC Master 1994) and Philippe de Chanville (EDHEC Master 2003), founders and co-CEOs of ManoMano: a pioneering start-up in online sales of DIY and gardening products, with operations in France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Belgium, and a current market value of $2.6 billion. Interviewed on this occasion, Christian and Philippe talk about entrepreneurship as a duo, and their desire to innovate for greater responsibility in a sector where everything remains to be done.
🏆 The EDHEC startup founder of the year 2023 prize was awarded, during Demo Day, to Louis Ajacques (EDHEC Master 2017), co-founder of startup Spayr, a mission-based company that offers employees access, via a mobile app, to a fraction of their monthly salary on demand.
🏆 Finally, the prize for the most supportive and generous graduating class went to Patrick Nantas (EDHEC Master 1967), representing the class of 1967.
The EDHEC Alumni Association would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this event. And a big thank you to all the EDHECs who once again brought a friendly spirit to this flagship event!
