EDHEC PhD programme alumnus R.L. SHANKAR named as one of the Top 10 Data Science Professors in India

The PhD programme alumnus, Lakshmi Shankar Ramachandran, alias Shankar R.L., EDHEC PhD (2014), is honoured to be featured among the top 10 data science professors in India on the 2020 list of the Analytics Insight Magazine. 
Shankar is currently Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance at Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University (Ohio State). He has been developing and delivering cutting-edge courses such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence for business leaders, machine learning, predictive modeling, algorithmic trading.

His recent paper on short-sale constraints and option returns has been accepted for publication at the Journal of Financial Economics.

He has also won numerous research awards, including a prestigious award from NYU Stern School of Business and NSE for unique exploration on Low latency trading and co-movement of asset prices.
