EDHEC launches TALENTS PRÉPAS and strengthens its commitment to equal opportunities
In line with its “Impact Future Generations” 2025 strategic plan comprising a major social diversity component, EDHEC is strengthening its commitment to furthering equal opportunities by inaugurating the first edition of Talents Prépas on 22 February. This original, pro-active support programme is designed to foster the success of bursary students engaged in preparatory classes leading to admission to prestigious French business schools.
50 BURSARY STUDENTS TO BENEFIT FROM THE PROGRAMME
Talents Prépas is a six-month customised support programme tailored to the rhythm of preparatory classes. It aims to help bursary students prepare for exams determining admission to prestigious grandes écoles and specifically oral exams for French business schools.
The hybrid-format programme combines sessions at distance and in person, and will assist up to 50 bursary students on their second-year of preparatory classes in their quest to join EDHEC via the BCE common testing platform.
The first edition starts in February 2022 and will offer bursary students a comprehensive range of support:
- A tutoring programme conducted by volunteer EDHEC students and designed to help bursary students fine tune their plans and envision their future time and experience at EDHEC.
- Practical workshops to help bursary students prepare for oral exams by raising their confidence and improving their ability to manage stress and speak in public.
- An immersion day enabling bursary students to discover the Lille campus, meet existing students and take a mock oral in real conditions in front of an admission panel.
- Invitations to EDHEC Business School online events and conferences.
“The Talents Prépas programme takes effect at the preparatory class stage and provides a means of helping students originating from more modest backgrounds to succeed and thereby of countering a certain form of social determinism. Based on the tutoring principle, Talents Prépas harnesses the values of solidarity and mutual help that are central to our DNA and rounds out our already-ambitious social policy spearheaded by the EDHEC4All programme”
explains Anne Zuccarelli, Associate Dean Educational Experience at EDHEC Business School, the initiator of the programme.
- Two online information meetings are scheduled for 20 and 25 January 2022in order to present the programme and answer questions raised by future participants.
- Applications can be submitted up to and including 4 February.
- Applications will be assessed according to two criteria: academic results and motivation letter.
