The last EDHEC job survey indicated an upturn in the job market that has been confirmed this autumn.

Over three-quarters of the firms from our sample population took on Master graduates in the last 3 months, and 73% of firms stated that they intended to continue recruiting in the next quarter.

Finally, the survey is upbeat regarding the number of new jobs likely to come on the market: 48% expect to recruit around the same number as the last quarter and 44% of firms expect to hire more young graduates.

These jobs are mainly in France, but also in Europe. They cover all sectors but especially marketing and communication, corporate finance and jobs in the banking sector, which had been particularly gloomy over the last 18 months.

Last but not least, 94% of firms said that they expect to continue their higher education partnerships.

The next EDHEC Young Grads job survey will be out in January 2011.
