EDHEC hosts the 26th annual conference of the European Business Ethics Network
Earlier this month, EDHEC Business School had the great honour of hosting the annual conference of the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN) on its campus in Lille.
The conference, held the 12 to 14 September, brought together 150 participants from 30 different countries to discuss topics around the theme, “License to Operate.”
At this international event, professors and corporate leaders committed to business ethics reviewed the way NGOs and public opinion often cast doubt on corporate legitimacy as a result of environmental problems, corruption or even human rights violations. Such major multinationals as Total, GDF-Suez, L’Oréal, EADS, Valéo, Auchan and La Poste participated in the
conference.
A selection of the most interesting talks will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Business Ethics, the
flagship academic journal in the field.
