Almost 70 alumni and students from all programmes attended the Entrepreneurs cafés on 26 January this year.
Chaired by Jean Michel Ledru in Lille, and Christelle Caucheteux and Brigitte Maissa in Nice, the first meeting was designed to meet one another and discuss the expectations and needs of all EDHEC alumni interested in these Cafés.
After a short presentation of the entrepreneurship services developed by the School and the two associations, all those present were invited to introduce themselves in an original fun way.
This was followed by a general brainstorming which generated plenty of ideas, providing concrete illustrations of what entrepreneurs want, namely: contacts, networking, sharing experiences and skills, finding partners, finance solutions, start-up support, ‘angels and demons’ workshops, workshops on specific topics, presentation of business ventures, etc.
These were just some of the suggestions that we will be working on to organise and design future meetings that are as interesting as possible.
The evening ended with real enthusiasm to pursue this group dynamic in a professional and enjoyable way.
The second meeting took place on 23 February at 6.30 pm, when 1 business owner has presented his project. In Nice, Andrew Prior (Mba 2001) team shared its "Hub project" with participants. All entrepreneurs were very excited about this project. Good Luck !
SAVE THE DATE…
Organised on the campuses by EDHEC Business School, in partnership with Edhec/Espeme Alumni, every 4th Thursday of the month, the meetings address all members of the EDHEC community interested in Entrepreneurship: students and alumni, well-seasoned or aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners supported by EDHEC Young Entrepreneurs or EDHEC Business Angels, professors and partners.
The meetings are designed with 3 aims in mind:
to ensure that entrepreneurs are no longer alone and to boost their network,
to share EDHEC entrepreneurship initiatives and to make new contributions,
to find out more about the challenges facing entrepreneurs and to discuss the keys to success with entrepreneurship experts through themed meetings.
