EDHEC Business School Nominated "Most Innovative School" at Challenge Future Summit
EDHEC students' active participation and achievements paid off as EDHEC Business School has been nominated for "Most Innovative School", being currently ranked n°15 among more than 900 universities and business schools.
Launched in September 2009, Challenge:Future Summit is a yearly global student competition aiming at promoting collaboration and innovation for the world's sustainable future. This unique project is a Think-Tank that brings together youth, business leaders, governments and schools to re-invent the world's future.
Students are required to post creative and sustainable solutions to some of the global and corporate challenges faced in today's world. Participating students compete in the main competition and in the various Quick Challenges. They also contribute to Weekly Hot Topic discussions on current worldwide issues. Since its launch, the challenge has already gathered over 13,500 students from more than 180 countries.
Every year, Challenge:Future focuses on a specific theme and this year's edition is dedicated to the Future of Connecting. Organised in three rounds, the first two took place on a designed online platform in which finalists have been selected by community votes and judges.
Finalists will then fly to Slovenia where this year's final will take place on May 17-18. The winning team will be awarded a grand prize of €20,000.
EDHEC students have been very active in this year's competition. Indeed, 96 students have registered to the online platform of which 15 students (7 teams) went through the first round and 6 students (2 teams) have gone through the semi-finals. . EDHEC students were assisted by mentors Guergana Guintcheva and Gael Bonnin whilst Anne Witte has been involved as a judge.
Each year, the Challenge:Future School Hall of Fame features top 10 most innovative schools in the annual Challenge:Future competition. Schools featured in the Hall of Fame get special recognition on the Challenge:Future website, at the Challenge:Future Summit and in the Future Book publication, which will collect the best contributions by Challenge:Future members.
The winners of the competition, as well as the Most Innovative School will be announced on May 18th at the Challenge:Future Gala - a prominent concluding event under the honorary patronage of the President of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Turk, which will also feature keynote addresses by Joel A.
