EDHEC Alumni reaffirms its longstanding commitment to combatting gender inequality.

Because half of our alumni are strong, knowledgeable and ambitious women, and because none of the political, economic, social, cultural or environmental challenges that society must face can ever be resolved without their effective participation alongside men, your EDHEC Alumni Association has for many years been committed to the fight against gender inequality and the importance of women speaking out in the professional and public spheres.
We have already partnered the School’s initiatives in this area, in particular its Diversity & Inclusion research chair, its Foundation, its teaching staff and the student association EDHEC Inspiring Women, and we have now decided to be part of a new structure to consolidate our contribution and our commitment.

EDHEC Alumni joins the Grandes Ecoles au Féminin (GEF) network and signs the Charte Mixité alongside 10 other Grandes Ecoles in France.

The signatories of the gender diversity charter work to improve the visibility, representation and participation of women in the professional sphere via the following commitments:

  1. Mixed governance of their associations
  2. Running events to raise awareness among their members of the fight against stereotypes and unconscious cognitive bias
  3. Respect for gender-diverse panels and public speakers at their own events and those of their partners

“EDHEC today teaches as many women as men. It is essential for our governance and public comments to be an accurate reflection of this diversity, which is one of our strengths. And so it is with delight and conviction that the EDHEC Alumni Association reaffirms its commitment by signing the gender diversity charter.” Anne Geisert (EDHEC 1991), President of EDHEC Alumni, at the signing of the charter on 19 October 2023 alongside Hortense de Roux, President of Grandes Écoles au Féminin (on the left in the photo).

EDHEC Inspiring Women Alumni: a new club with a new identity and new commitments.

On 9 November at EDHEC Paris, 150 graduates signed up to attend the conference held by the new club EDHEC Inspiring Women Alumni. Created by the ambassadors Laurène Simonneau, Chamsy Najid, Bénédicte Gariel and Inès Jazaerli, this club has taken inspiration from the historic EDHEC'Elles, dedicated to graduates, and the student association founded in 2017 by Inès Jazaerli, a graduate from the EDHEC Class of 2020, with the aim of becoming a unifying structure within the EDHEC community, ready to welcome all graduates regardless of their level of experience.

Its raison d’être is as follows: “At a time when few women’s clubs take on inexperienced graduates, our vision is to bring together the whole community, favouring an intergenerational approach. Our ultimate aim is to create a dynamic and committed community, driven by their passion for our common cause. This club is for everyone, with the opportunity of creating new connections, sharing enriching experiences and celebrating women’s empowerment. We aspire to build an inclusive and inspirational space for all those who share our commitment to the advancement of women in all areas.”
