EDHEC and Agora du Nord, EDHEC's debating club on the Lille campus, welcomed Anne-Marie IDRAC at 6.30 pm on Tuesday 12 February 2008.
The former president of the RATP (Paris Transport System), now president of the French railways organisation, the SNCF, answered questions from students during a conference-debate entitled "Des idées d'avance ou un train de retard?"
Where do French companies stand in Europe and globally nowadays? Can Anne-Marie Idrac, a fervent pro-European, put her position to good use to help revive Europe's economy? After all, isn't transport a vital sector, at the very heart of globalisation and European relations? These were just some of the questions covered during the debate.
