An Exceptional Dinner Honoring Jean-Louis Mistral '81, Major Benefactor
On November 14, the EDHEC Foundation organised a dinner at the Manoir on the Lille campus to thank Jean-Louis Mistral, EDHEC class of 1981, Major Benefactor of the School.
This event brought together around fifteen people, including Emmanuel Métais, Foundation members, close friends of the couple, and several students supported by the generosity of Jean-Louis and his wife, Julie.
For more than 20 years, Jean-Louis has faithfully supported the EDHEC Foundation and annually contributes to the EDHEC for All scholarship program. Deeply committed to values of diversity and inclusion, he decided to further his support by making a legacy pledge in favor of the School.
Together, Jean-Louis and Julie enable students from modest backgrounds to believe in their dreams, strive for excellence, and forge their paths towards a promising future.
During this warm evening, Jean-Louis shared his deep connection to the scholarship program, highlighting the tangible impact this support has on the daily lives of the beneficiaries:
"Nearly 40 years later, EDHEC could have been just a distant, slightly faded memory. Yet, the journey our School has made since its modest premises on rue du Port truly inspires my admiration. The path ahead also makes me feel partly responsible for its future.
Reflecting on my professional life, I realize how much the School has given me—solid foundations. Thus, I feel compelled to give back at least a part of what it provided. I hope you'll also feel encouraged to join this positive community of donors. There's neither a maximum age nor a minimum contribution for doing so."
Jean-Louis Mistral, EDHEC 1981
