A new EDHEC Online certificate to facilitate your transition to entrepreneurship
The EDHEC Online Entrepreneurship and start-up certificate (in French) is part of the School’s lifelong learning initiatives and builds on the broad range of skills already taught at EDHEC. Classes run by entrepreneurship aces will give you an insight into the daily life of a start-up entrepreneur, and going forward you can count on the EDHEC Alumni family to which you have belonged since your very first day as a student here.
A certificate accessible to all
The EDHEC Online corporate finance and strategy certificates unveiled last spring gave you the opportunity to refresh your knowledge in the subjects you had studied at our School. Now, with the Entrepreneurship and start-up certificate, you’re in good hands and in a position to prepare for a turning point in your career and make the leap into entrepreneurship. This course, which does not lead to a diploma, is for all candidates interested in becoming an entrepreneur, whether or not they already have a project to develop. It will equip you with all you need to filter the abundant information out there, so often based on conventional wisdoms.
Under the academic supervision of Jean-Michel Ledru, CEO of Merci Maman – a company co-founded with Béatrice de Montille (EDHEC Master 1999) – and a former director of the EDHEC Entrepreneurs incubator and business accelerator and the EDHEC MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, this 100% online certificate course will give you the method and tools you need to successfully tackle entrepreneurship. The classes are based on what is known to work in start-up entrepreneurship, success stories and case studies. No jargon or cliques: the EDHEC Online content uses learning techniques based on co-operation and is available to all.
Step-by-step entrepreneurship with EDHEC Online
Candidates are rigorously monitored in all of the EDHEC Online programmes, and the certificate dedicated to entrepreneurship is no exception. One key feature is the linear approach from one session to the next, covering all of the different phases, from the germination of an idea right up to its financing. You will learn not only what to do but also how to act as an entrepreneur, particularly when it comes to the people you surround yourself with, as Maxime de Couëssin (EDHEC MSc Business Management 2014) emphasised a few months ago in an interview with EDHEC Alumni. Design thinking, minimum viable product, business model and marketing mix are all terms that will open doors to international expansion and optimised management for your future start-up. The idea is to prepare you in the long term to pitch what you have built to potential investors and partners. Allow yourself to be guided through this immersion into the world of entrepreneurship over 10 sessions, each lasting 6 to 8 hours and spread over 25 weeks (70 hours of lessons in total), including online resources and 10 coaching sessions!
