It is with great pleasure that we present the 2nd issue of the EDHEC Finance Club Newsletter.
In its 2011 Grandes Ecoles rankings, Le Point voted EDHEC first in France in the field of Finance, thus ratifying the excellence of EDHEC's research and academic programmes, and the richness of the alumni network.
This distinction encouraged EDHEC Finance Club to pursue its contribution to helping coordinate the network.
The present newsletter has been written with this in mind. It gave us a chance to take stock of the club's past and future activities, to find out more about Edhec Alumni (presentation of EDHEC Business Angels and interview with Ludovic Panciera, Administrative & Financial Director at Piper Heidsieck) and the teaching faculty (interview with Sergio Focardi), and to look at some of the economic and finance market highlights in 2010.
