On Thursday 8 December, alumni and international students attended the ‘bring-a-dish’ Christmas Party on the Nice campus, organised by Edhec Alumni in partnership with students from the Open'Up association. Around fifteen of us enjoyed the international specialities cooked by our international students as well as specialities from Nice and other regions in France.
Mihir brought along a main course and desert from India, Ting, Si and Qiwen cooked some Chinese specialities: beef, chicken and nems, while Jake arrived with a delicious American sauce for a broccoli dip, Markus brought a basket of Austrian sweets that are usually eaten at Christmas along with a glass of spicy hot wine.
It was wonderful to discover these different recipes so dear to their mothers and grandmothers. Brigitte and Christelle brought along the famous pissaladière (type of pizza from Nice with anchovies and olives). Everyone enjoyed the mandarins and chocolates that are usually eaten at this time of seasonal festivities. The French students from Open'Up came with our traditional, sausage, hams and cheeses. We would also like to thank Fabien for the wonderful Saint Nectaire.
Naturally, all the dishes were accompanied by some good French wine that was sipped and appreciated in moderation. The event provided an excellent opportunity for discussions and exchange between the alumni, French and foreign students, and members of Open'Up.
