LONDON GUIDED TOUR

Soho, the trendy neighbourhood that welcomed thousands of French people

Saturday 5 October ∣ 2.30pm-4.30pm UK time

To welcome the EDHEC Master’s and Bachelor’s students who have just started their academic exchange in London/UK, as well as new alumni who have recently crossed the Channel, we are very pleased to organize a guided tour to explore Soho, one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in London!

Did you know that Soho was historically the French district of London, once called 'the French Colony? That's why you can find, among other things, French churches and the first French businesses established in London. It's a history of over 300 years!

Want to learn more? Join us for a two-hour guided walk with Christian Michel, a passionate professional guide!

Who can join?

This tour is open to:

  • EDHEC BBA or Master's students currently completing an exchange at a UK partner university such as King's College London, Imperial, LSE, Brunel University, Durham University and many more!
  • EDHEC Alumni: Whether you've lived locally for years or are new to the area, you’re sure to learn a lot! Feel free to bring your partner and children along.

A passionate guide - Christian Michel

For Christian, tour guiding and transmitting his love of culture to others has been a lifelong passion. He started at the age of 18, organising tours of his local church, and later in cathedrals such as Notre Dame de Paris. In France he worked extensively in local government and Chamber of Commerce, strengthening the links between society, commerce and the cultural world. You can read more about Christian’s background in this article in French Morning London.

What started in 2016 as a 6-month project to promote French culture in London grew into French London Experience, and whilst in London Christian has also worked as a guide for Greenwich’s Old Naval College and for History Vibes.

Christian’s long history in guiding and his passion for what he does has allowed him to develop a uniquely personal and relatable style of tour guiding and event running. Many people choose Christian’s tours for his warm, welcoming and inclusive delivery.

We very much look forward to meeting you.
