Currently Reuters is looking for candidates to apply to their
Business Graduate Programme which will start in April 2008.
This programme is designed to recruit and develop a group of high
calibre graduates who demonstrate leadership potential and can make
an impact in facilitating change in a fast-changing business world. As
part of the programme, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Reuters'
clients, markets, and products. The programme will accustom you to
dealing with clients in a number of different settings and roles, enabling
you to understand how to serve their business and needs. It will also
provide exposure to and understanding of Internet and e-commerce
business. In addition to client-facing roles, further opportunities may
include marketing, strategic planning and project management in an
international and culturally diverse environment. You will be expected to
make a significant contribution at every stage of your career. The
Business Graduate Programme can lead to a wide number of career
paths, including operational front-line positions in account management,
global accounts and marketing or consultancy, strategic planning and
project management roles. Assignments on the programme are likely to
be in at least two different locations and could be global. For the first
two assignments, fluency in the language of the clients being served is
essential.
You will ideally have a Masters degree (or equivalent) in a businessrelated
subject, business administration, economics, computer
sciences/IT or entrepreneurship. You will also be fluent in at least two
languages, of which English is one. Experience or interest in the financial
services sector is a distinct advantage. You should be able to work with
people at all levels, using strong written and spoken communication
skills. You must also enjoy new and varied challenges in a wide range of
environments, possessing the ability and willingness to operate
internationally. You will be ambitious, enthusiastic, eager to succeed and
responsive to feedback.
