As a new Purchasing Manager in our Strategic Purchases organization, you develop strategic sourcing plans for the key materials or services for which you are responsible - regionally and globally. You own the supplier relationships for your business, and you conduct thorough analysis to understand your suppliers and their industries and markets. You negotiate contracts with executives of major companies and multi-million dollar enterprises, and you are accountable for on going contract management with your suppliers. Your cost savings work on cross-functional teams includes collaboration with many disciplines within P&G, and also your suppliers, and you directly impact the company's profitability. You are externally focused, and represent Procter & Gamble to our many business contacts locally, regionally, and globally. This requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communications, and thorough problem solving abilities.
