What is the role? The analyst programme in Credit is designed to provide participants with exposure to all areas of credit risk management. This programme will give you an intensive hands-on training, as you will be an integral part of our team. The training programme will equip you to manage a range of duties including: - performing detailed credit analysis of Morgan Stanley's trading and loan counterparties including multinational corporations, financial institutions, funds or sovereigns - presenting rating recommendations to Credit Committees, and - assisting in the approval process by participating in the due diligence process and modelling transactions. You will play a key role from the very beginning and increasing your responsibilities over time with senior colleagues guiding your progress. You will become part of a fast-paced, multicultural working environment that will allow you to reap the rewards of a successful and challenging career at Morgan Stanley. You will join the firm in July 2005 and participate in a customised training programme on accounting, credit risk analysis and financial modelling. Who are we looking for? - Successful candidates will have outstanding academic qualifications in their chosen field. - They will be dynamic team players who can work under pressure and think creatively. - While there are no strict requirements on the candidates' academic degree, a solid interest in finance is expected to be demonstrated at interview. - Strong numerical and analytical skills as well as excellent English oral and written communication abilities are essential. - Fluency in another European language will constitute a competitive advantage.
