Global Board Ready Women searchable database : 1 an déjà
We are delighted to give you below a few highlights of what has truly been an Amazing Year since we launched the Global Board Ready Women searchable database on Linked-In, administered by the Financial Times Non-Executive Directors ne year ago on 12/12/12.
1. THE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP PROVIDED HAS NOW REFOCUSED THE EFFORTS ON A TRUE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY:
When we look back one year ago, there was much skepticism that there were enough women to assume responsible positions in corporate governance; there were no real criteria to form a base for the corporate governance of 21st century; and while there were pockets of activity in certain countries, there was not a concerted global movement in particular from Business Schools, Corporate Women, and Global Organizations to bring about a diversified, excellent, and transparent corporate governance.
Today, there can be no doubt that our advocacy, combined with that of others throughout the world and spearheaded by Viviane Reding and the European Commission has brought about a 180 degree change where the question is no longer, 'should women be on public boards' but how to find them and get them on public boards. This is a remarkable achievement in thought leadership and one that we can all be most proud of.
2. THE NUMBERS — MORE THAN 3100 GBRW WOMEN FROM MORE THAN 200 ORGANIZATIONS FROM MORE THAN 80 COUNTRIES;
Thanks to all of our participation as Business Schools, Professional Organizations, Corporate Women and Task Force Members, GBRW now has more than 3,100 qualified, vetted Global Board Ready Women from more than 200 Business Schools and Professional Organizations from more than 80 countries in the world.
***JUST IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS, MORE THAN 10 OPEN BOARD POSITIONS HAVE BEEN POSTED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE GBRW GROUP IN THE AESC BLUE STEPS PROGRAM. ***
