Celebrating International Women's Day

To mark International Women’s Day, the Career, Diversity & Inclusion committee from the EDHEC Alumni UK Board is hosting an engaging evening of discussion and networking to celebrate and empower women in business. 

This event, open to all, will feature a panel of distinguished speakers sharing insights on key themes, including:

  • Women in leadership
  • Allyship and the Role of Men
  • Work-life balance


FORMAT

  • 6:30 PM – Guest arrival and networking
  • 6:55 PM – Welcome remarks from Audrey Haverkamp, EDHEC’s UKI Country Manager and the Career, Diversity & Inclusion committee from the EDHEC Alumni UK Board 
  • 7:00 PM – Opening remarks from Elizabeth Beroud, Business Coach (EDHEC 1989)

SPEAKERS


Elizabeth Beroud, Business Coach (EDHEC 1989) 

A business coach and thinking partner, Elizabeth helps her clients play to their strengths through the business she co-founded with her husband in 2016. She works with senior executives and their teams to help them harness their talents, achieve their goals and flourish in their chosen path Her clients operate in a variety of sectors, both public and private. Elizabeth is also a Director and lead coach for The Future Leaders Group, an accelerated leadership course for aspiring CEOs. In a pre-coaching career spanning over 25 years, Elizabeth held positions in Strategy, Sales Development and Marketing. 

Elizabeth is an EDHEC alumna graduating in 1989. She has been a trustee of EDHEC’s UK Foundation, the EDHEC Charitable Trust, since 2016 and took on the role of Chair in 2020. The Trust’s mission is to support the School in raising money for bursaries, entrepreneurship and research. Elizabeth and her team of eight fellow trustees work closely with EDHEC Alumni UK to achieve their goal.

Elizabeth was born in Cardiff, raised in Montpellier, and has lived in Southeast London for 35 years. She has three grown-up children with just one left in the nest. In her spare time she loves taking advantage of the capital’s thriving artistic scene.

Francesca Di Donato, VP Private Equity, AlphaSights 

A pentalingual professional with a rich international background, Francesca has lived and worked in six cities across four countries (Italy, Germany, the UK, and Russia). This global experience has shaped her strong intercultural skills, adaptability, and ability to connect with people—both professionally and personally.

Currently serving a three-year mandate as Vice President at AlphaSights, Francesca leads one of the firm's key client segments in Europe. Her role focuses on vision setting, coaching high-performing teams, and driving commercial results through strategic leadership and empowerment. She thrives in building winning cultures and developing talent.

Francesca’s passion for high performance stems from her background in classical ballet, having trained professionally at the Hamburg Ballet School and performed on stage from a young age. This experience has ingrained in her a commitment to excellence, discipline, and results-driven success. She is drawn to dynamic, high-achievement environments where impact is measurable, and success is rewarded.

Laura Cristina Granada Alape, Manager, Investment Research, AlphaSights (EDHEC 2022) 

Laura Cristina is an investment research professional with a strong background in business and market analysis. As an Investment Research Manager at AlphaSights in London, she provides critical market insights to private equity clients, supporting their due diligence processes and investment decisions. In addition to delivering research solutions, she plays a key role in customer success and innovation, identifying client pain points to enhance and develop investment research products.

Before joining AlphaSights, Laura earned an MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from EDHEC Business School in France, graduating in the top 5% of her class. Her professional career began in Colombia, where she worked as a Commercial Analyst in the pharmaceutical sector for two years. She previously studied International Business at Universidad Santo Tomás and completed an exchange program in Mexico City through a scholarship.

Having lived and worked in multiple countries, Laura has developed strong adaptability, leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills. 

Outside of work, she is passionate about traveling, learning new languages, and playing sports such as tennis and swimming. She is driven by curiosity, continuous learning, and a commitment to building meaningful professional relationships while making a lasting impact in her field.

Mathilde Bresson, Global Sustainability Director, Haleon (EDHEC 2002)

Mathilde Bresson is a Global Sustainability Director at Haleon, shaping the company’s sustainability vision and embedding responsible business practices into its strategy. With over two decades of experience in sustainability and brand leadership, she has a proven track record of integrating purpose into business, driving innovation, resilience, and growth.

Prior to joining Haleon, Mathilde spent 20 years at Unilever, where she led Global Sustainability for Beauty & Personal Care, defining division-wide sustainability goals, aligning cross-functional teams, and influencing strategic investments in R&D, product innovation, and brand differentiation. She also spearheaded purpose-driven brand strategies for Unilever’s top global brands, ensuring sustainability became a driver of both positive impact and commercial success.

Her expertise spans sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, cross-functional leadership, and business transformation. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she led the development of a hand-washing behavior change program for schools, reaching 2 million children in the UK.

Mathilde holds a Master in Management & MSc in Marketing from EDHEC Business School. Passionate about creating a sustainable future, she continues to bridge sustainability with business impact, helping brands and organizations thrive in an evolving landscape.

Bruno Vinel, Executive & Life Transition Coach (EDHEC 1988) 

EDHEC Alumni (promotion 1988), with over three decades of CFO and senior leadership experience across international markets, I am offering unique executive coaching for global leaders and significant life transition coaching. My professional journey has been shaped by strategic innovation, resilient leadership, and a deep commitment to personal and organisational transformation. My personal journey through significant life challenges, such as navigating a cancer diagnosis, has been a powerful catalyst for my transition into professional coaching.

I am passionate about supporting senior leaders and organisations committed to creating positive social impact through inclusive cultures, diversity, and environmental sustainability.
