On October 26th, the EDHEC Alumni Association held an alumni Welcome party on the 9th floor of Zhengda Plaza on the banks of the River Huangpu. Nearly 100 alumni came to the event. They had a deep communication and shared memories of the day at EDHEC.
Every year in October, EDHEC alumni will host the welcome party in different cities, which aims to provide a platform for new and old alumni to interact and to strengthen EDHEC alumni network. As Halloween was approaching, many alumni who attended the event dressed up in Halloween costumes.
In the event, EDHEC Alumni Director Mr. Martin Barbier said that although France and China have different cultures, they have a lot in common. He said that when he was walking on the street in Shanghai, the passing sprinklers was playing the familiar French nursery rhythm "Frère Jaques", which his Chinese colleagues told him was Chinese nursery rhythm "Two Tigers". “Although this song is in another language, it has the same melody. It’s just like EDHEC alumni. Coming from different countries with different cultural backgrounds, everyone had studied at EDHEC and shared with a good memory, though they come from.”
Ms. Pan Sisi, Head of EDHEC Alumni China, presided over the awarding of “Alumni Outstanding Contribution” ceremony to recognize alumni’s outstanding contributions to the construction of Chinese alumni network. In the end, the Modern Water China Manager LI Linian (2007 alumni), the Accenture China Innovation Manager and design thinking expert HU Dingyu (2018 alumni), and CEIBS Senior Editor YUE Dingjun (2015 alumni) won the prize of “Shi Shi Ru Yi” (good luck) crafts gifts made by Tao Lu Studio.

The EDHEC Alumni Association aims to build a close and warm alumni community. Up to now, more than 46,000 students from more than 120 countries and regions around the world have graduated from EDHEC. Each year, the EDHEC Alumni hosts nearly 500 events around the world, which enhances the visibility of EDHEC Business School and the vitality of our alumni community.
