As part of a team of five MBA students working on market research for understanding prevalent and upcoming process automation solutions in the finance sector (FS), I:
• Interviewed and surveyed relevant stakeholders to find out the current realities on the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Automation solutions in the Finance functions of Accounts Payable (AP) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A);
• Designed a survey and used a vast LinkedIn network to gain opinions from a global audience;
• Assessed the future of automation in FS and possibilities of combining RPA with Artificial Intelligence in AP and FP&A;
• Analysed and performed desktop research to create a detailed report highlighting the automation and RPA market in the Finance sector.

As a Technical software consultant and SAP developer, I was part of the 13-member production support team responsible for Global SAP ERP custom code maintenance. In particular, I:
• Led the quality control initiative for global SAP custom software coding enhancements;
• Achieved a 40% reduction in coding rework hours;
• Provided advice and developed Millipore’s New Product Introduction SAP BPM system;
• Affected reduction in New Product Introduction lead time by 30% and maintenance workforce by 50% adjusted by attrition;
• Rewarded “Star of the Month” and “Team Impact” awards.

As Technical Lead for the 11-member team assigned to the Unilever Global Material Master Data SAP ERP BPM project, I:
• Oversaw technical operations spread in 100+ countries;
• Handled North & South America and EMEA system go-lives;
• Mentored the team to scale up with new region acquisitions;
• Managed operations in 3 shifts for a system consisting of 3,000 users;
• Started client engagement program to propose system updates;
• Acted as a bridge between the technical delivery team and system users;
• Worked with SAP vendor team for tool troubleshooting;
• Streamlined monitoring and reporting to prevent system issues;
• Reduced team size by natural attrition even as the system grew;
• Created standard support processes to reduce lead time.

As lead-developer for the global bar-code system for Unilever products in the context of Unilever Global Material Master Data BPM project, I:
• Automated bar code assignment to remove duplication and errors;
• Achieved complete bug-free delivery for a critical business module;
• Created technical documentation using requirements specifications;
• Oversaw test results and worked on proposed changes in User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
• Revamped the code logic to increase re-usability and modularity;
• De-cluttered existing Business Rules Framework for direct client use;
• Followed sprint-based agile software methodology;
• Worked with a team of 20 developers for system integration;
• Worked with global client functional leads for design and testing.

As BPM & Java developer and technical support executive for Financial Journal validation and posting application for a UK multinational bank, I was part of a new project migrated from a competitor. In particular, I:
• Worked with outgoing developers to migrate application operations;
• Handled client technical issues directly and proposed changes in the application based on problems faced by the client;
• Created a new application to handle a journal calendar system;
• Handled legacy systems support and maintenance.
