Our bespoke fast track graduate programme is aimed at energetic graduates who want a focused career in Marketing. You'll experience four challenging placements over two years, each enabling you to develop the full range of knowledge and skills you need to be a successful Marketer.

The programme demands hard work and commitment, but we'll help you every step of the way. Not only will you be given tailored support and training, you will also have the opportunity to work with one of our other exciting brands, M&S Money and firstdirect. And if that's not enough, for those who really excel, you'll have the opportunity to undertake a six month placement overseas.

You'll need to have a Marketing-related degree, excellent commercial acumen and high emotional intelligence. What will set you apart from the rest will be your passion and desire to drive change and really make a difference.

We'll give you a basic salary of £23,500 as well as up to £4,000 territorial allowance. In addition you can enjoy 25 days holiday, study leave (if applicable), private health care, a contributory pension scheme and preferential rates on our wide range of products and services.

Operations Management Forward Thinking

These are just some of the experiences you can expect on our two-year Operations Management Programme.

Be prepared to provide creative solutions that enhance our business. Be willing to learn - about HSBC Bank, the industry and the market. Communicate and make an impact - to build lasting relationships with our customers and enhance the service we provide

Our operations unit touches every customer experience within the bank. In the UK, we employ over 10,250 people - more than 22% of the bank's total workforce. We answer 6.7million calls each month at nine call-centres, lead large-scale projects that enhance our customer service, and control the bank's international payments systems. We also manage private clients' funds of around £4billion.

As a trainee, you'll be working in business support functions such as cash processing, debt recovery and change management. This two-year fast-track programme will give you first-hand experience of all parts of the business and leads directly into a general management career in Operations. It includes four assignments in different businesses, with an opportunity to make a difference.

You could be working as a project re-engineering manager, leading a multi-site team in a multimillion-pound overseas migration project. As such, you'll develop leadership, relationship management, business judgement and change management skills. Please read more about thee learning and development involved in the programme

As a business analyst you might be involved in projects looking at cost efficiencies. You'll learn how to drive business and brand vision, develop your business judgement, and hone your risk analysis and teamwork skills.

Does the Operations Management programme fit in with your career aspirations? During the programme, you'll coach and motivate, lead by example, and build commitment to delivering the best possible service for customers and colleagues.

We want analytical, forward-thinking people who challenge the way we do things. You'll have an aptitude for numerical reasoning, project management and an interest in business re-engineering. You'll also be great at building relationships with your colleagues and be a change agent who delivers on difficult assignments.

Salaries start at £20,000 with a joining bonus of £2,500. Participation in the bank's incentive scheme could give you an additional payment of 20% of your salary. Benefits include life insurance, contributory pension scheme, and preferential rates on HSBC Bank products.
